A little bit about the difference between Vampyres and humans (from new book):

The stories in the book of Enoch the Fallen Angels and The Nephilim are the oldest, then after those came Lilith of which I believe as our beginnings. Therefore Vampyres unlike what many want to believe is NOT a human condition or virus; this is why I use the inverted pentagram in my sigil (medallion). Although the Pentagram is a nature symbol in the Pagan Spirituality; it represents mankind as well in other faiths (as shown below) and the inverted Pentagram most likely represents Otherkin (Vampyres) such as us; this is my personal belief.

I am of course human as well as Vampyr but I choose to embrace my Vampyr nature because of the various choices most humans seem to make to destroy the only earth and its inhabitants around them; as well as there fellow human kind. I do not condone killing, however I do have a strong negative opinion of killing for sport as well as destroying there environment for overpopulation for capitalism. Not to mention the various chemicals they create to make themselves pretty, eat delicious outdoor food, and get where they need to go that in turn harming the ozone layer that was meant to protect us from the harmful UV rays. There are good people out there but the mass majority does not give me much hope for the race in general. The worst thing that destroys humanity is there emotions which is weakness and drags them down. It also affects us that we (Vampyres) feed on emotions and are very sensitive to them; we must be careful of powerful emotions such as depression, anger, and hate because they are our weakness and can harm us very negatively.

So much of this is good...but I can't help saying, many of our kind as well participate in these very same things that are hurting our environment..club lights frivously burning up fossil fuels so that we can dance the night away, makeup, fine clothes that require cropland that take over rainforests to clear in order to grow the fibers for. I don't think we can blame mankind alone for the atrocities done to our Temple Earth. Personally, I feel like it's every sentient creatures responsibility, and therefore the blame goes all around. It's all waste, and I do believe that commandment is crucial Rev JP, waste not..

Our differences? Oh, there are plenty enough of them..we need extra energy to survive, to thrive in our human bodies. We tend to be a little more empathic then most, with some unique abilities that help us feed, and make it easier to survive overall. Overall though, I feel as though we are similar in a fashion, and while I do not agree that we are superior, I do agree that there are differences.

I do disagree that emotions drag them down, I just don't want to picture a world emotionless. The very fire, the spirit of man that I need to survive is dependent on those emotions, those levels of feeling. I will not fault humankind because they have something that I need..there is a balance there.

There are many things about the world that I do not like. War, famine, starvation, fighting, pain, suffering, blight, the willingness of one to commit cruelty to another..but they exist, and with purpose. There has to be a balance for everything. Perhaps we are subject these things to learn that balance..perhaps it just is that way.

I do agree that those emotions are very powerful, and we are very sensitive to them..therefore we should be leery of how much we expose ourselves lest we adopt the emotion as our own. Many of us are tempted by that raw energy, and fall victim to that mistake..I guess even we have our weaknesses..lol.

Like I said, alot of good in this..we just differ in opinion on a few things.

I know this that no kin is perfect but I see these things mostly a human ego trip. I am not better than humans because they have what I need to survive and don't lack what we do. I'm sorry if I sound that way but I don't ever mean to...

Do not be sorry Jp , because of the way we are as vampires, it is sometimes like walking along a tightrope. It is quite easy sometimes to react to humans this way.Mostly because alot of vampires do have special gifts that humans do not.Granted there are a small percentage of humans that have various gifts similar to that of a vampire and the weaving of energies may be learned by just about any human that may desire this gift,if there is a bit of detication put forth on their part. But the humans themselves are inherently lacking the mental equipment that we have developed just to survive in this world we have been born into.Though as heartbreaking as it is to admit vampires are apart of the very same population that has helped to vastly destroy the very planet we exist on. The similarities between humans and vampires are very numerous, but one diffrence between us always remains a constant factor for all of us.That is that when we as vampires feel , it is taken to such a higher level than that of a human, driving some to insanity with the vividness and force of it,a few fall into a state of helplessness and yes I think sometimes even fear, then there are also those that embrace what has been discovered of themselves and seek to be able to control and harness their abilities. What vampires have are vital abilities given to us by the Great Mother herself. Lilith didn't just bestow us this for nothing.Energy feeding is just one leaf from our tree of life.Think of the things that vampires as a whole could do for the healing of our land, our waters, and our air. I do pity the vampire who hates the human.Note,I said pity not hate.To each their own I am not here to tell others how to live. :) We need to keep in mind the fact that we would be forced to starvation and death if it were not for the humans around us and as Jp said earlier that we indeed lack what they do not.As for my opinions and concerns there are a great many but as far as my beleifs and concerns on this teeter tottering matter are that we need to spread the desire for unity at this time. Now by spreading unity I did not in anyway mean hug everyone you pass on the street and share what you are, a vampire.Today, in this world, people are united under a diffrent quest. Driven to the four corners for one thing. I am speaking not of gold, oil,or any other cash crop you may think of. No,I speak of knowledge and in my point of veiw the most powerful tool we possess.Curiously this is also something that we share with our human companions and brethren. The neverending quest for knowledge in the written word. Vampires and humans share many similarities , but also differ from them in certain things. This same exact thing happens in nature all over the world. For example the big cat family. Many diffrences but many sismilarities as well.

I believe that those with special gifts and esp psi abilities are not just human but other kin as well...

Many hold this beleif as well, including I, but most humans with such abilities(at least that I have encountered) shun the idea of being not just human. Such denial is a kind of coping mechanism for them , it seems.
