Im sorry i watched the vidoes on you tube and idk why but me it angered me more than intreaged me prob cause lil miss tara basicly mocking them idk most tv aired things on vampryers tend to make me mad

It was handled better than some of the things I have seen aired on television..but that's all I have to say on them really.

I agree with zim she does seem to make fun of them a lot. But it is pretty nice that actual vampyres was on the show, so people could glimpse the culture but not understand the theology. I think people in these specials refuse to show the spiritual aspect of what we are, and what we do.

Well Tyra an the rest of the audience was ignorant morons and I'm sure Maury is going to do the same on his show. The guests tried to spread the truth but they only want to see us as freaks or creatures out of fiction thanks to new series "vampire" craze...

It may be a little harsh, but it certainly didn't help matters any with everyone coming out "en garb"

Fangs..all black..more makeup than even a tasteful Goth would wear. I understand that some people enjoy that image of themselves. Saying that you are trying to shed a Hollywood stereotype, and then turning around and supporting it in the way you present yourself is not exactly a good way for someone to back up their point.

Fashion is fashion..but when you are seeking to gain credibility on such a scale..you would think better judgement could have been had.

i agree sami alot i agree with every one these talk shows are bad for us as a family too bad we can't protest this. it makes me sick that people who think " black is a vampyr color" and a coffin come on thats sooo movies. i am still begining to understand why i am what i am and i am PROUD of it. this show should have never aired in the first place. i believe that this vampyr community should be secret and not exposed like a pack of hungry wolves attacking a poor village. thats my way of saying it. and well i am glad that someone posted this to show there are a bunch of posers in this world who believe that vampyres are a fad NO offence anyone just making a statement. ok well i better go i am gettin pissed again ttyl

Why do you think this happens? I can tell you why it is all propaganda. Remember in the nineties and eighties a lot of movies was released to try to stop the wicca movement from growing any bigger. This too shall pass and people will see the light. As for being secret I do not believe we should. Because just hiding causes more of the crap to be shovled on. Even though Tyra was indeed wrong in the way she reacted. But at the same time I have seen that reaction when I try to explain vampyrism to people that ask what do I believe in? But I do have to applaud the people even though to me it seemed like they were attention getters more than anything. I mean for someone to actually be open about thier non mainstream beliefs in many parts of this country can get your kids taken away. Even more is that you go unto national television and talk the truth about a belief that is heavily fictionized. That opens you personally to a multitude of personal attacks. Not to mention many old religion practitioners, still believe psychic vampyres take thier dreams and hopes. I do agree though that talk shows are degrading our society, But talk shows are only a small cog in the bigger mass media machine, and the mass media pushes hot button issues in the conservative christian view, and not the truth.
