Understanding Dark Paganism of what it truly is....Part 3 "So what is Dark Paganism?"

First of all, I want to say that dark or darkness is apart of nature. When something bring harm or do something that we do not understand it to be. We call it evil. We fear it. We fear what we cannot see. Nature is neither good or bad, but it can be dangers at times. Nature just is. It does what it is suppose to do in the since of it true nature. Rather it sunshine or rain or thunderstorms, floods or a volcano exploding. this is just apart of life.

So what is Dark Paganism? As I find there are many ways of explaining this. It depends on your tradition. And most of all what it mean to you from within. Now Paganism is for the most is a person who is a non-christian, Muslism,or Jewish. They are polythestic kinds of people. They are people who believe in ancient ways. Now those who live their lives as Dark paganism, is a group of people who live within the dark side of the light. The way they live their everyday life and even their spirituality. They work or feed from the dark side of things. They take the negative things of life and use it for there purpose. Rather it is for magical works or just plain old living. Other words, Working and living with dark energy's. Now I have to say, In case some people have forgotten or don't know. Within the energy's itself there is no good or bad. It is just pure. It just is. Now remember that everything has a purpose in life. I believe that all things are from the same source that has been form from within the very core of Chaos. The place where change is always taken place, Rather it is life or death or rebirth.

So I therefore see beauty in all things. Now it was told to me, the way that you look at the RHP and LHP is that the RHP is more restricted in there doing, where as the LHP is very loose or freer in there doing. Reason being is that we of the LHP see things much different as oppose to those that are RHP.( must say this is not always true for everyone, depends on the person themselves) Just as those who love and live and feed from the daytime's of things. We love the dark times of things. We find that within the dark side of things there is a beauty that lies within it and only those that are drawn to it can understand it.I love what John J. Coughlin said in his book "Out of the Shadows" "It is the goal of Dark Paganism to remind us that there is a darker side to all things and that this darker side is not necessarily harmful and negative. There is beauty in darkness for those who dare enter the shadows to embrace it."


How ever as anything else, there is a positive and negative part to it. Which is something that I will talk about at a later time. But for now I am focusing on the positive side of Dark.


What make us a Dark pagan. It is not always in what we wear, all thou for the most we do love to wear black. But that does not make us dark pagans. We are mostly drawn to the night, things that are old and death. We have a understanding of death and for some have learn not to fear it. We embrace it. Because it is apart of life. For those who work with dark energy or feed from it. We accept the negative state of emotions, for most of us we can take it and use it for a positive thing. Now there are those who would use dark magic for wrong purposes. But that is in all things. We have a love for the thunderstorms and etc; even the graveyard for some. so do you get my point. TOO LOVE THE DARK DOES NOT MEAN TO LOVE DOING HARM OR TO BE EVIL, in most cases anyway. For there are those who do get a kick out of bring harm to others. I myself is not into that. unless you bring harm to me and even then I try to use wisdom in that. To every action is a reaction.

In dark paganism there are many traditions just like anything else. Many interpretations of it. That is up to the person on what they believe. Dark paganism is kinda like the yin yang side of life. To everything is two side too itself.
